Gifted and Talented

Each child works at their individual level. Open ended, higher order questioning underpins quality teaching practice at the school.

Every student in the school participated in special district Gifted and Talented workshops in 2008. Students are selected to attend these workshops according to their special interests and talents.

The units of work being studied often culminate in special theme days, where the children are immersed in different activities relating to the topic. Excursions and field trips, related to classroom work, occur regularly. This enables learning to be relevant, hands-on and meaningful while stimulating the inquiring mind.
