Information and Communication Technology

At Kangaloon Public School, each child has access to a laptop or desktop computer. All computers have wireless connected to the internet. Emailing and researching material, via the internet, is part of each student’s everyday classroom life. All students have a U.S.B thumb drive and save their work to take home and continue working.

Peer tutoring and buddy techniques are used in the explicit teaching of many information and communication technology skills. Students are taught to use a full range of hardware and software. All primary children are able to create Powerpoint presentations.

An Interactive Whiteboard is being purchased for the junior class. The primary class will receive full tele-conferencing equipment, enabling virtual excursions and communication with many classrooms and businesses throughout the country and beyond.

The P and C association work tirelessly to fund technology projects throughout the school.
